The rule of two was created by Darth Bane. It was created to avoid an outbreak of fighting amongst power-hungry Sith Lords at the time who were all considered equal under Lord Kaan's Brotherhood of Darkness. Bane realized that there should only be two Sith at a time, a master and an apprentice, in order to avoid chaos among the Sith.

The Sith originated shortly after the discovery of The Force when some of the individuals experimenting with The Force expressed interest in "Bogan" which would later become the dark side of The Force. But the practitioners of the dark side were defeated in battle and thus the Jedi Order was created. However more and more Jedi would continue to drift toward the dark side until the Sith had become a significant group of people and eventually went on to form their own order.

i am sorry for interrupting, but you have failed to mention the first sith lords, and the original sith species. They all had a great hand in how the sith were created were they not...

Herman rewrite your answer, but add on to what you wrote like where the dark jedi went, how they became the sith, what planet they went to

Alright my revised essay...

The Sith originated shortly after the discovery of The Force when some of the individuals experimenting with The Force expressed interest in "Bogan" which would later become the dark side of The Force. But the practitioners of the dark side were defeated in battle and thus the Jedi Order was created. However more and more Jedi would continue to drift toward the dark side. Then around 7000BBY, another group of Jedi turned to the dark side and discovered they could create new life with the force, but were exiled from the order for these practices. But the exiles continued their work and used the force to create superior creatures and soldiers and even start a 100 year war that they eventually lost. They were exiled yet again and put on a ship stripped of their weapons, only to find the planet of Korriban. There they found the two original Sith species, made alliances with their leaders, mated with them and eventually rose to power over their species as "Jen'ari", or Dark Lords of the Sith while the original Sith species began to become extinct due to interbreeding with the dark jedi.

Marka Ragnos was Dark Lord of the Sith around 5000 BBY. He was a half-human, half-sith male who defeated another aspiring sith named Simus to claim the mantle of Dark Lord. Through his leadership the sith empire entered a golden age. He had a red lightsaber, but unlike most force-adepts, he was known for wielding a red sith sword enhanced by sith sorcery. He was killed around 5000 BBY marking the end of the sith's golden age. Though he was dead, he lingered the universe as a force ghost for centuries until finally being put to rest in 14 BBY.

I believe the first was the Force Wars of Tython in which the very first force-users fought; One side using the dark-side of the force, one using the light. The dark-side users were defeated. Then the 100 year darkness came around 7000 BBY in which dark jedi rose again to face the jedi but failed once again. Then after a long while came Naga Sadow's Great Hyperspace War where he found his way to Republic space by planting a homing beacon in a traveler's ship. He invaded the Republic when they were unprepared and the Republic was faced with seemingly impossible odds until a woman named Empress Teta lead the Republic offensive and defeated Naga Sadow's fleet.

I know there's more but I don't have time to do it all right now sorry I'll continue and finish it soon.

And that last one was called the Great Hyperspace War. Then there was the Great Sith War, where young jedi knights Exar Kun and Ulic Qel Droma defied the jedi and unleashed a horrible onslaught on the Republic only to be, once again, defeated. Then, finally there was the Jedi Civil War in which Revan and Malak harnessed the power of an ancient super-weapon called the Star-Forge to create a massive fleet, until Revan was captured, reprogrammed and used by the jedi to defeat the Sith yet again.

I think that's all of them.

Oh did you want wars past the old republic's time period too?

In that case, if you want to count it, there is the war that the new game will take place during involving Darth Malgus. Then there is the Clone Wars and the Galactic Civil War, both of which we obviously all know in great detail from the films.

Yavin
Onderon
Taris
Drumund Kaas
Dantooine
